LBCD’s Deaf Christian Conference (APRIL 3-5 Fri to Sat)
President’s Corner

Greetings! Do you know what in the world is Grace? I know Grace means kindness, but do we really understand how deep it is– what about how far, how wide, how gentle, and how amazing Grace is? I have learned that nothing I can do to earn God’s approval. For so many times, I feel that I have to attend church every Sunday to earn more approval from God. It does not happen with his Grace. It does not matter if I serve my time as a president and if you have not, God loves both of us equally. Not because of my good deeds I have done, God has already approved me the second I believe in Jesus. there is nothing I can do to make Him love me more than yesterday– not even praying five times a day, fasting, preaching, or serving. It does not make Him love me more than the sinner. He loves the sinner just as much as He Loves you. Remember God’s grace where the sun shines on people good and bad.

Bottom line, God wants you to have a relationship with Jesus Christ. It is free of charge, really. No strings attached, athough it seems to go against every instinct of humanity. That is “the Jesus” I never knew. Unlike many religions, there is always a string attached– the Buddhist eight-fold path, the Hindu doctrine of karma, the Jewish covenant, and Muslim code of law– each of these offers a way to earn approval. Only God’s Grace dares to make His Love unconditional.

I would love to welcome you to Louisiana Baptist Conference of the Deaf (LBCD) Deaf Revival this April 3-5, 2009 in Eunice, Louisiana! Nick LeFors Jr from Seattle, Washington is the guest speaker of the Deaf Revivial! Mike Mack from Baton Rouge and Lacey Loupe from Arizona will teach workshoips during the weekend. I hope you will take this opportunity to attend the Revival to hear what they got to say!

Hope to see you in Eunice!

Under His Grace,
Betsie Marie Kulikov
LBCD President
