Dr. Barbara Lovas will focus on church interpreting basics: No prerequisites. There will be a quick review of Part 1. Emphasis will be placed on church interpreting, religious vocabulary, terminology, ethics, and Deaf empowerment as it relates to church settings. Local Deaf will also share their feelings related to ethics and Deaf empowerment. Glossing and presenting a song will be included. Hands-on practices, break-out groups, techniques, resources, and study aids will also be provided to participants. .5 CEUs will be provided.

The choir will perform at the Children’s Hospital and a few other places (this will require more commitment because of practice meetings, practice at home, and performance times)
… and Christmas Caroling on December 21st!!! *

*FYI: Free Monday Night ASL Classes will practice songs Mondays 7:45 — 8:15pm (after Monday Night Classes), starting this next Monday on December 7, 2015. We will use the same songs for Christmas Caroling on our last day of class, which will be our Christmas party, before begin our holiday vacation. Remember our Christmas party will be a SILENT party (get it, “Silent Night”). For our ASL Monday class Christmas Party, be sure to wear a tacky Christmas sweater or outfit and bring a potluck and a white elephant gift. Everyone is welcome to join us!!!
